Orland Township’s ‘SuPETvisor’ Pet Photo Contest

Get ready to ‘raise the woof’ at Pet-Palooza! Orland Township residents can nominate their beloved pets to be Orland Township’s ‘SuPETvisor’ of The Year!

Residents can nominate their pet between Friday, Aug. 11 and Friday, Aug. 28 by messaging the Pet-Palooza Facebook page (www.facebook.com/orlandtownshippetpalooza) a photo. The message should include their pet’s name and a few sentences about why he/she would make a great ‘SuPETvisor’. The message should also include a contact number and proof of Orland Township residency (ID).

Between Friday, Sept. 1 and Thursday, Sept. 14, everyone is invited to view all the nominees in a special Facebook post and vote for their favorite(s)! The winner will receive special recognition at the event and will be featured on select media for the next annual Pet-Palooza.

Details on Honorary Pet Supervisor of Orland Township:

– Rules:

  • One pet submission PER household.
  • The pet photo with the most likes (reactions) on Facebook by 11:59 p.m. on Thursday Sept. 14, will be chosen as winner.
  • Pet must have no behavioral issues as it MUST attend Pet-Palooza on Saturday, Sept. 16 to be formally announced as the winner before the pet contests begin.
  • Winner will be announced online the Friday before Pet-Palooza (Sept. 16) at noon.

– Submissions:

  • Message the Pet-Palooza Facebook page with ONE image of ONE pet, with their name & a short bio, and a contact number with ID to prove Orland Township residency.
    • Orland Township covers a 36-square-mile area that is home to more than 100,000 residents. We stretch from 135th Street on the north to 183rd Street on the south, and from Harlem Avenue on the east to Will Cook Road on the west. We serve the communities of Orland Park, Tinley Park, and Orland Hills, as well as the unincorporated areas within these boundaries.
  • All images will be compiled into one post.
  • The photo that receives the most likes (reactions) wins.

Contestants are HIGHLY encouraged to share their posts as much as possible with family, friends, etc.

  • Receives a special swag bag consisting of pet-friendly products.
  • Dubbed Orland Township’s ‘Honorary SuPETvisor’
  • Becomes the ‘face’ of next year’s Pet-Palooza:
    • Featured on 2024 event promo material (such as the flyer, poster, volunteer info, socials etc.)
    • Featured in post-Pet Palooza FOCUS edition & 2024 FOCUS for Pet-Palooza announcement

Pet-Palooza is a day of pet-friendly and family-fun activities, games, vendors, food and more. All proceeds of the event benefit the Orland Township Pet Pantry which coexists with the Food Pantry.

This “pawty” will take place on Orland Township Grounds at 14807 S. Ravinia Ave., Orland Park, IL. Residents and their furry friends are invited for a day of family fun at the 11th annual Pet-Palooza. Rain or shine, get ready to have a “purr-fectly” good time at our pet-friendly festival!

Whether you’re looking for a new place to explore with your pup, or want to show off their amazing skills, Pet-Palooza is the place for you! With plenty of local vendors (including various rescue organizations to help you find your newest best friend fur-ever!), residents are invited to a family-friendly, fun-filled afternoon of activities.
