Pet costume contest to raise funds for pets of hospice patients | Pasco

LAND O’ LAKES – Gulfside Hospice is holding its second annual virtual Howl-O-Ween Pet Costume Contest to raise funds for its Pet Peace of Mind® program, which supports hospice patients and their pets during the end-of-life journey. This special fundraiser is hosted by the Women for Gulfside, a women’s philanthropy group devoted to supporting hospice patients.

Furry, feathered, finned or fanged pets can be entered in the contest for a $10 donation at GulfsidePets.org by Friday, Oct. 27, at 4 p.m. Each contestant can submit a photo of their pet with a 100-word description and will get their own pet contestant page online to share with friends and family to ask for votes for $1 per vote.

Winners will be announced on Halloween, Oct. 31. Categories will include Best Costume, determined by a volunteer committee, and Most Popular, voted by the community through donations. Donation votes will be accepted until Tuesday, Oct. 31, at 8:30 a.m., and can be made at GulfsidePets.org. Winners will receive a prize basket donated by community sponsors. All proceeds benefit the Pet Peace of Mind program at Gulfside Hospice.
