Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts Luxury & Lifestyle Collection, is about to make travel easier for you — and your dog. That’s because Kimpton just announced an exclusive partnership with Wag!, a mobile platform that connects pet owners with professional pet caregivers so they can schedule pet sitting and walking, as well as boarding.
“You’re going to want to sit and stay for this news,” Kimpton announced on Twitter. “We’ve officially partnered with @WagWalking to make traveling with your very good boy/girl a whole lot easier! So go on, bring your best friend.”
To celebrate the partnership, KimptonXWag! will even give away 1,000 free 20-minute services — either walks or visits — for guests staying at one of Kimpton’s participating properties.
“With the emergence of remote work, guests are used to spending more time with their pets, so it’s not surprising that as travel picks up, our guests are opting to bring their pets with them,” Kathleen Reidenbach, CCO at Kimpton, said in a statement. “We understand how hard it is to leave pets behind, so we are thrilled that this partnership with Wag! will take some of the stress off our guests, allowing them to make the most of their travels while ensuring their furry family members are well taken care of on the road or at home.”
The New Partnership
Kimpton has always been committed to providing a pet-friendly experience for guests, and their pets. In fact, that tradition goes back to the company’s founding in 1981, when founder Bill Kimpton often took his dog to work.
In addition to giving away free Wag! services, while they last, Kimpton will also offer guests access to a complimentary month of Wag! Premium. That means participating guests will receive 10 percent discounts on every pet service that is booked, as well as 24/7 access to advice from credentialed veterinary professionals.

Since Kimpton has always been pet friendly, it only stands to reason that it offers a number of pet-friendly amenities.
For instance, Kimpton will loan pet owners pet beds, water bowls, and mats. Kimpton hotels can also provide a list of nearby pet-friendly restaurants, parks, groomers, and pet boutiques, as well as door hangers to let other hotel guests and staff know that a cat, dog, or pet is in the room.
